Want to watch a gangster action film that combines elements of classy martial arts? Xtreme guaranteed it’s the answer. Xtreme is a Spanish gangster action film directed by Daniel Benmayor release on Netflix. The film stars Teo Garcia, Oscar Jaenada, Andrea Duro, and Sergio Peris-Mencheta. How entertaining is this film?

Maximo (Garcia) works and is loyal to one big gangster in Barcelona. One day, the gangster’s son, Lucero, acts beyond his father’s control to take the helm. People who are loyal to their father are killed instantly, and Max is no exception. Two years later, Max, who lost his son, seeks revenge with the help of Maria, Lucero’s father’s assistant. A young man named Leo accidentally gets in the middle of the situation and disrupts Max and Maria’s plans.

Since the beginning, this film has been spit out brutal shooting action scenes that pulled it tucked into a pretty slick martial arts scene. The plot itself is light and exciting, which we have seen dozens of times in similar gangster action films. The difference is, of course, the figure of Max. The actor, Teo Garcia, it’s like we’ve never seen it before. Garcia can play cool and calm at the same time. The actor’s charisma and martial arts skills steal the show throughout the film, even though the action is not as superior as Liam Neeson or Steven Seagal. Martial art does get a dominant portion with an impressive choreography as well.

Xtreme is a classy gangster “revenge” action with a solid story strongly supported by the cast. The script not only action scene by inserting a small side of drama, “father-son” relationship between Max and Leo. Xtreme is definitely on a level with classy action films like the Equalizer or Taken series, Loud, violent, and brutal. For fans of the genre, don’t miss this film!
